This blog chronicles my travels - mostly around my home state of California - but on rare occasions, other areas as well. Hopefully, these photos capture the majesty, grandeur, and breathtaking beauty of the landscapes I’ve witnessed firsthand on these trips over the last few years. Luckily, for me, it really doesn’t take much to heed the call of nature, to pull me from the comforts of home and to prepare for another grand adventure. So buckle up, plug in and strap in - we’re going for a ride.

Road Trip: Lake Tahoe to Los Angeles / July 2020
The drive back from Lake Tahoe (see separate blog posts for those hikes - Granite Chief Wilderness/Lake Shirley Canyon, Stateline Overlook, Granite Lake/Maggies Peaks, Ralston Peak) to Los Angeles, about 8 hours - give or take (and traffic/construction/wildfire delays notwithstanding) is pretty epic - certainly in the northern area of the state. Down Route 89 from Tahoe, through the Toiyabe Wilderness, over Monitor Pass to the 395 and down... some awesome views of the Eastern Sierras and Sonora Pass.
